On the morning of May 20 at 10:18 a.m., the Weichai Group’s 3rd annual employee group wedding ceremony took place at the Central Research Institute Plaza. Witnessed by the broader Weichai family, 100 couples exchanged vows of lifelong commitment, underscoring the company’s dedication to a culture where employees find both professional fulfillment and personal happiness. 

At 9:00 a.m., the couples, dressed in traditional ceremonial attire, departed from the historic Weichai old factory site in 20 festive coaches. The journey, marked by scenic views and high expectations, carried them toward their new life together.

At 10:18 a.m., the auspicious moment arrived, marked by a flourish of music and drums to open the ceremony. Performances including the traditional lion dance added to the festive atmosphere, filling the plaza with warmth and celebration. As the couples walked down the red carpet, photo walls lining the path showcased the transition from the legacy of the old factory to the modern spirit of the new campus, reflecting 80 years of Weichai’s heritage and the shared bond among its people.

The ceremony was conducted with traditional grace and profound solemnity. The couples participated in a series of traditional rites, including the Three Bows, the Hand-Washing Ritual, the Nuptial Cup Ceremony, and the Co-dining Ritual, each symbolizing their shared future. With the support of all attendees, the couples recited their vows and placed their shared seal, marking the successful conclusion of the ceremony.

More than 3,000 people attended the ceremony, including officials from the Shandong Provincial National Defense Machinery and Electronics Union and the Weifang Federation of Trade Unions, as well as Weichai Group leadership, department heads, family members, and young employee representatives.
